There's beauty in the breakdown

The past few releases IKON has been delving into  the realm of fantasy eyes and these have to be my favourite yet, there are so many to pick from and each base colour comes with 10 different colours of shine, 5 of those are more subtle and the others range from rainbow to fire tones with a bloodshot look.





I'm wearing brand new hair from Dura, it doesn't come with a hairbase so you're going to have to find one that suits it or buy one separately at the store. It's a nice, simple shaved around the sides and back with the lovely textural work that always pulls me back there. It looks so much like you could reach out and touch it.




 I'm not going to do a review on The Mesh Project body I'm wearing, there are a number of them out there already and I won't be getting the full version to play with but if you're looking for a nice replacement for nakedness, this is a great solution. I left the full body shots mostly unedited because the joints move so cleanly and the edges are crisp.

I just realized, this is going to be my last post for 2014. I can't express enough how much it means to have my own space on the internet and how much pleasure I've gotten from watching it blossom. This year has been incredible and a lot of that has to do with my customers and the wonderful artists I have blogged for. From the bottom of my heart I adore you all and I am so proud of where this year has taken you creatively.

Level Me Up

I really hope you had a great holiday season, I ended up spending part of it sick and the other part sorting through all of my belongings to essentially cut our belongings down to what we really need. The first, I hated with a passion, the second, well that is an ongoing Christmas gift to myself. We're not hoarders, we're aspiring, fumbling minimalists at heart that daydream about a perfect tiny house in the city. This is a step towards that.

I did have a chance to peruse this round of Level Up, the theme is retro gaming and the selection is so much nostalgia and win! I played a few gachas and got exactly what I wanted, that is unheard of. King's Quest was pretty much the only game my tech challenged parents owned and I played it for hours, ironically that darn poisonous snake was where we always got stuck... Out of all the choices, the strawberry would have been the one I would pick out of the mix of fruit necklaces from Katat0nik, it's so cute and girly.



My bracelets would make a great post holidays gift for a gamer friend, the Game Over isn't transfer but the other set includes a Player 2 that you can give away. Oh the nostalgia of friendship jewellery!



I got myself into the MINA VIP group this week, this style is a gift for everyone but there is another one just for VIP members and when I went there was a 200L credit gift. How could you go wrong?  Speaking of gifts, Cubic Cherry Kre-ations has this utterly adorable backpack out at Level Up as a gift and my leggings are from the Inspiration Point Christmas Hunt, this has to be my favourite hunt of the year and I got a lot of things I can wear the rest of the year. Right at the landing point there's a market with some really fun stuff as well, you should hurry it will be ending soon.

 Or inside with a cold, it's been a long week of sniffly noses and no spoons. Just in time for the holidays, oh joy!

That being said I can't get over how great the winter items have been this year whether at Kustom9 like these utterly adorable boots from fri.day that happen to have a removable pair of socks coming out the top for that extra warm look or all of Collabor88, Pixicat and The Secret Store both did super cozy looking outerwear that I'm loving. The collar I'm wearing over the wintry cape is 8L as a festive gift, the cape does have a hood option as well if you'd prefer that. They go perfectly with the bear gloves from Katat0nik, actually they go perfectly with everything as I haven't taken them off since I got them. The bears are separate so you can wear them just as fingerless gloves if you like.

Walk with me

This is the warmest winter that we've had in I can't remember, I step outside torn between being grateful for the tiny cost to heat my spaces and mourning the green Christmas I know is likely. I'm Canadian, snow and ice and that ache after shoveling are more familiar than being warm in December.

Magic in your hands

If you're in the mood for something magical you should head down to Fit for a princess for a lovely set of snow magic poses, or maybe you would prefer a quiet evening snuggling on the couch. I know in this weather I'm all about getting cozy. What better way to do it than with a cozy sweater or a down vest.



This month's round of The Mens Department is themed "gacha" so there are a selection of items only available through those. I grabbed this bowtie because, when do you not need one? As for these shoes, L.Warwick has rebranded as livalle and has brought us comfy looking slip ons in a variety of checkerboards that fit over your Slink feet, there are also unrigged pairs if you wanted to wear them with avatar feet.

The Ice Queen

Uber was a bit less of a shopping event for me this time around but I did happen to find some lovely pieces that I'm sure will show up in my day to day very often, first up, this dress. I had a terrible time picking just one colour for this one and went with my heart. The best part? There's a version that fits over my physique body! Of course I had to have these curls from TRUTH. Big and poofy and oh so feminine. The backdrop I used is a free gift from Exposeur, it comes with 5 poses built in, all you have to so is sit down and go through the menu until you find the one you like.



The Physique shows itself again here sporting a lovely lingerie set from blacklace, I love that cutout on the panties. The textures are so crisp on the body and that purple has a bit of playful to it that I'm loving. It goes really well with these utterly sexy heels that fri.day is offering at Uber. You've got a number of colours to choose from, I personally like the coal or the mint best. This dresing table I'm sitting at is also available at Uber along with most of the accessories.
