I cant tell you how happy I was to see this outfit, I've been working really hard this year at taking better care of myself and honestly... I live in my workout gear. It might not be such a bad thing if my stuff was as snazzy as these though. Tee*fy has really knocked it out of the park with the boyfriend style tank and leggings that you can pick up at No21. Falling in love again under these neon lights

Another late night, another night spent here with the music too loud and the world melting away under the neon lights. Dressed in our favourites, like my skirt from Blueberry that you can pick up at Uber, my top and Cryssie's shorts are also from Blueberry, you can grab them and so much more at her main store or on the marketplace.  We're both buying and wearing a lot of Blueberry lately because the fit is fantastic and the clothes easily fit over our mesh bodies.

Explorations and coldLogic

Part of enjoying my new computer has been the ability to explore parts of the grid that were simply not doable for me. Today was spent doing just that. I wandered Timeless Memories in these brand new pointe shoes from Ama. and the daines dress from coldLogic, it's the prettiest mid of purple and blues that I had to have to go with these shoes.





Then I picked a random location from the art destination guide listings that turned out to be the Metamorphosis Exhibition , it's a weird place done entirely in black and white. Perfect to get a shot of my next outfit, coldLogic has recently begun creating clothes that work nicely with mesh bodies, I'm rarely out of my Maitreya body, needless to say I'm excited about this. It does indeed fit well and only required a few minor alphas which is not unusual. Normally I would pair this with heels but the pointe shoes are such a cute change.

Step this way part 1

This was supposed to happen yesterday but um Ama lay down on the couch and fell asleep and the entire day went poof. Yeah. March 18th will mark a brand new adventure for the FATE brand, Damian has branched out into shoes with 20 fully customizable shoes to pick from, 10 of those are for women, 8 for men and 2 unisex pairs of chucks.

Each pair comes with a HUD to control various areas on the shoe, allowing you to pick between pre- made textures or tint to your hearts desire. They fit the standard avatar feet as well as Slink for the men and Slink and Maitreya for the women's shoes. The pairs come with optional socks, if you want something fancier you can pick up additional texture HUDs.



My personal favourites are Anthony because they are boots that fit under the jeans. I know... sounds simple... I have purchased so many boots in the past that fit with nothing.

I'm a breath away from 200 posts here on Cat&Ama, that's just wow. I don't really have words for what the milestones I've passed have felt like. I'm really proud of the journey all of this has taken me on, I adore the people I've encountered simply because I put myself out there with open arms. Discrimination in Second Life - My turn

What is wrong with "his club his rules" has nothing to do with second life, nothing to do with the club in question and everything to do with the mentality behind his actions.

I've been holding back while I sorted through my own thoughts on the issue and they are still a jumble so I promise to try and get them out in a logical way.

First off, I'm ok, I'm angry and bruised and I don't feel very safe but that's not unusual. You see, I've been at this out of the closet gay (ok, pansexual with stronger gay leanings, it's a spectrum) thing since I was 14. In the closet as long as I can remember before that. Coming out was the scariest and hardest thing I have ever done and thankfully I have parents that didn't lash out. They made some mistakes along the way and there was that week that we didn't speak because my father told me trangender people were sick perverts. The fact that I was a small child and I stopped speaking to him made him rethink the issue and he came to the conclusion that he was wrong and I got a very thorough apology. He took me to my first pride and has always been my biggest ally. He proved to me that people can be educated and they can change.

What is so powerfully wrong about the mentality that anyone can discriminate for any reason is it doesn't just happen on the small scale like being told to dance out of sight in a virtual club. It leads to communities enacting laws that prevent non cis gendered people from using the bathroom that makes them feel (and BE safe), it leads to gay couples having no hospital visitation rights or choices when one partner dies and they happened to be parents, it leads to entire countries jailing couples for holding hands. Worst of all, it leads to young men being tied to a fence and beatten to death. I know there are more recent cases but Matthew Shepard is a part of my history.

I am thankful that this happened to us, we are for lack of a better word, grown ups. We have had years to grow a thicker skin and develop a sense of ourselves. We are fortunate to have both grown up in countries that have laws that protect minorities even if they don't always work. I was so fortunate to have a stable foundation to grow on but that's a rarity.

Nothing ever gives you the right to make another human being feel like what they are is substandard and undesireale. Being a bigot is a choice, being gay is not. 

So in conclusion,

I don't care how my gayness makes you feel, it isn't about you but you should know that if you are in the closet and ever come out, we're here and we will always be a safe space.

Meme : First and recent

Around the time that the first was taken I was creating as well though things have changed so much, I was working with prims and making manes and tails for the equine community. I ended up shutting that down when I took a long break from SL. I'm back to creating and this time the toys are much more fun... I'm dabbling in mesh and I've done a number of appliers for mesh bodies. It' a whole different and much more satisfying world to create in.

Making friends and vacation endings

*yawns and stretches* I needed that, I was sort of running myself head first into the ground on fumes at the end there, not that this wasn't a planneed vacation and I didn't love every minute of what I do. Creativity sometimes needs time to refresh, anyway, I missed you and I'm back.



A big part of the week was a trip to pick up parts for my new system. She's amazing, I love her, I don't know how I lived without her.



While I was away FATEwear released a pair of great, simple v-neck and collared shirt sets.
